When you first log onto SL it can be quite a lonely place however it is not a good idea to ask people to be your friend without getting to know them first.
Here are some of the best ways to build your friend list in SL:
1. Visit your landmarks and the places you like often and you will normally find the same people come back time and again. As they get to know you they will strike up a conversation.
2. Join various groups to do with your interests and attend meetings. Add content to the meetings and stay jolly and fun!
3. Search for events that are going on using the search button there are loads and the good thing is that people within them will have the same interests.
4. Remember to stay in contact with your friends in SL send them a quick hello every now and again.
5. Get A Job. If you can find employment you will no doubt make friends with your work colleagues!
6. Remember once you start getting familiar with SL go to the help island and start helping people out as this is a really good way to start making friends.
